My brother's education.

In this blog, I'm going to talk about my younger brother's education.

Well, the education he's not getting.

My brother is now nearly 11 years old, by this point, in any other school in Swansea, they're reading normal novels, writing short stories, do some decent maths.

You know, the usual.

But at my school, my brother is still learning about plural nouns, reading short novels for 6 year olds, he can do basic maths, and is still failing at his spelling tests.

The reason being?

The teachers are truly rubbish teachers.

I'm not going to say that because I'm biased and think my brother is really smart. He gets things quickly. He suffers from dyslexia and the staff at the school don't know how to teach him.

It's quit sad really, that my younger brother is losing out his chance at a good education because the staff that are there to educate him, don't know how to educate him.

And it's not just because he's dyslexic. The whole class year is being taught the same and are receiving the same level of education.

It's really sickening to think that these people are preparing our children for the future. I mean, when I was his age, I was writing short stories, reading stuff like Dracula. I'm not exactly the brightest bulb in the box,  but come on! There has to be something wrong here, right?

But maybe I'm overreacting, I know a little of it's overblown, but seriously? I know he's not getting the same level of education as what he should be getting.

I just worry about him, is all. I don't want him to lose out and it's going to be tough for him when he goes up to secondary school and he's struggling with all the work he's given....

Anyway...

Night!

Oh, yeah.

I'm going to stat planning all my writing now.

I've got two days a week where I'll write as much as I can. Tuesday's I'll write for Molly and Fridays I'll write for fanfiction.

That should keep me up to date with everything.

I hope...
