It's getting really frustrating

That I don't seem to be able to contract the time to update my story. I have so many ideas coming through for the story and I really want to write them all down, and I'm really excited about writing it.

Then, everything that can possibly come up, comes up, and I don't get the time to do it. Like I was planning on writing chapter 31 today, and I've been landed with ironing. It just doesn't seem fair, it's like there's someone out there that doesn't want me to write my story.

Other than that, I've been getting ideas for another story.

The idea kinda sounds pretty stupid at the moment. But that's basically because it's still in the process of being thought out. Like, I've only got the basic outline, and as it is, the next story I'm planning on writing will either be the sequel to DYRM, called Forget, or it'll be about the one that I mentioned a while back. The one about the social classes. I'd like to see how that one turns out.

I'm going to file the idea away in the back of my head though and come back to it at a later date.

So, the idea for the story at the moment, is going something like this.

So, there's this secret organisation of people/aliens, children of aliens and humans and whatnot, created for protecting people and aliens alike from people/aliens with bad intentions. The main character, whom I have yet to think of, is a child of an absent alien parent and a human parent. Found by the organisation a few years back, but something happened that made the main character to run, and now the main character lives its life in secret. In the slums, where the mayor of the city doesn't do anything with and is under heavy surveillance from outside, making sure that no one escapes the slums. The slums itself is now run by gangs, and the main character is one of the few left who are defiant to this order. The story will take place a few years after the incident, and about the cousin (a human) of the main character trying to find the main character (I think I really need to think of characters for this...) to bring them back to the organisation, but the character won't.

That's a basic summary of what's been slowly cooking in my head currently....

It doesn't sound all that great at the moment, mainly because I haven't gotten that far in the thought process.

It'll probably be totally different by the time I'm through with thinking it.

Anyway,

Hopefully I'll have some time to type chapter 31. I know what I want to do, it's finding the time to type it...

Definitely Not Going

To be a long post tonight.

I'm just so tired. I've been traveling for two days straight. And on both occasions they've been quite long trips.

So I'm thoroughly and utterly bombed.

I've had a good two days though. I've been to two very nice places, and I'm definitely going to be applying for Aberystwyth University.

Hope everyone's weekend is going well...

Not much time

For blogging today, sorry.

So, I've been to Bath today. I was really impressed. I loved it there. It was a really nice place. It's a shame that University of Bath don't do English. I mean, not that there's anything wrong with Bath Spa, it's my Dad that has the issue...

Anyway.

Not much time to talk, I'm going to bed as I have to be up early in the morning for an Open Day in Aberystwyth...

See you tomorrow, if I'm still alive after all the tiredness...

Not much time for

Blogging, as I am going to bed.

I've been downstairs watching Brothers. That film is so good. I love watching the film. It's one of those films that I'm not sure whether I should love, mainly because the story of the film. But I think the film in itself is utterly and truly amazing.

Anyway, I'm going to Bath tomorrow, and it's going to be super awesome (hopefully), then I'm off to Aberystwyth for an Open Day. It's going to be immense.

I got a lot of traveling to do over the next couple of weeks.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to update DYRM. I've got it on my plans. I've just been so busy with my mum and everything, writing has had to take a backseat.

I'll get back on the wagon for Chapter 31 soon though, promise. Maybe Sunday, after I've done all my homework and jobs around the house.

I'm just so exhausted

All the time. I don't think it's normal to be this tired all the time. I mean seriously, my house life can't be that bad, right?

But anyway, I have a job interview coming up with Asda's. It's called an Asda Magic assessment. It's a weird name, isn't it? But yeah, it's going to be my first group interview. I'm not all that nervous, to be honest, from what I've read about the actual stages that happen during the thing, it doesn't sound all that bad... and I get a tour of the building at the end of it all.

So, it shouldn't be too hard.

That doesn't mean I'll get the job though, right?

Anyway.

Not much else to say, not much else has happened.

So I'll be going now...

I Am Number Four

So, I told you yesterday that I'd been reading the book and that I was completely addicted to reading this book.

I finished it today. And, even though it wasn't amazing, it was still a fascinating read.

You know what I mean?

There wasn't really a lot of characterization going on throughout the book, and sometimes I felt as though some of the dialogue was quite cliche.

The plot made up for all of this. I thought the idea behind everything, though it may not be original original to people who've read similar stories, I found that in comparison to some of the books being released at the moment, it was a breath of fresh air to read something so different.

It didn't have any vampires in it! Though there was a mention of vampires, it was basically there just to make fun of them.

One thing I found that the book didn't really explain was why the nine remaining Loric's were being hunted. I didn't understand why they were being hunted. It was hinted that it would be explained in sequels, but it would have been nice to know at least one reason why they were continued to be hunted. Of course, the aliens themselves aren't the resource to the planet. Or are they?

Sorry, felt the need to put that there.

So, I'll be seeing you now.

Good book. I'd definitely recommend it to people who like that sort of thing, not sure about people who don't usually read sci-fi though...

I've been reading

I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore. I'm about 250 pages into the book, but currently, I'm hooked. Literally.

I go through phases in the day where I really just feel like dropping school so I can continue to read this book. It's that immense. It sucks that I have a lot of lessons tomorrow because otherwise I'd be there reading it all.

I'm free 5 & 6, so I'm definitely going to be reading it then. I'll tale in the next book on my list too, just to be safe, and that I have another book for when I hopefully finish it. It looks like I may definitely be getting back into my English reading.

The problem at the moment is Welsh reading. I just can't seem to get into any of the books I'm told to read. I think it's more of an initiative problem, and finding a book that sounds like a good book to read and going from there.

The only Welsh books I seem to get told to read are usually about farmers. I love to read sci-fi/fantasy, I don't think 60 year olds farming usually covers that, do you?

I think it's more a case of just finding a book and sitting down and reading it. Taking a good few lessons, but reading it.

Anyway, I gotta go to bed now. I've got a lot to do in the morning before going to school. Good times, eh?

So, see you soon. Hopefully I'll get back to writing DYRM. I'm still totally excited about writing that. I actually have a lot more ideas on where I want to take the story now that I didn't have when I first started the story.

See you tomorrow.
